Neven's Life History
Neven was born in Valenwood, to parents that generally cared little for each other. They were both not very rich, and could scarcely afford to care for their son. Neven found himself scrounging about for food, and at the age of 12, adopted a short sword he had found. He tried hunting with it, but he had little success. Neven's parents got him in trouble for using what could be a stolen sword, and disposed of it. Neven moved out on his own at 17, adopting the bow and arrow, a traditional weapon for his race. He managed to live off the animals of the jungle until joining the army of the Aldmeri Dominion.
Under the training of the army of the Third Aldmeri Dominion, Neven acquired further skill with the bow. Neven found that he could not live the military life, being under the absolute command of someone, a someone considered to be his superior. So, when his training led to a training survival excursion, he slipped away. He hid for many, many weeks until they stopped searching for him. Then, he was back on his own, doing his best not to enter cities or major towns.
Whilst on his own, Neven grew lithe and nimble, frequently jumping and swinging through the dense tree-top foliage of Valenwood. He also learned survival skills, and honed his skill with the bow with frequent hunting. Life for Neven in the more wild parts of the jungle were growing underwhelming and too much. So, Neven left Valenwood. Almost immediately leaving Valenwood, he ran into a convoy of Thalmor.
The Thalmor found a somewhat arrogant Bosmer, and were entertained by his slight stupidity. They fed him truths guised in bitterness. The Thalmor said that the Men were on rightful Mer lands, that they must be taken back. They told him of Pelinal Whitestrake, of the Empires of Man that conquered Tamriel in the centuries before. They told him of the massacres against the Ayleids, and against the Snow-elves. The Thalmor were going towards the Imperial City, but steered Neven towards Skyrim. Neven took this to mean that the Thalmor needed Neven to divide Man, and so Neven went to Skyrim thinking of ways to engineer a rebellion.
